Investigating the Relationship Between Statins and Bacterial Skin Infections

Statins are extensively prescribed medicines to reduce cholesterol for cardioprotection, but they also exhibit antimicrobial and pleiotropic effects, which plausibly reduces both skin infection risks and antimicrobial resistance.
